Event Details

LocalGovCamp is an event for anyone interested in social media and its relevance to local authorities.

The LocalGovCamp Yorkshire & Humber event will take place on:

Saturday 12 June 2010
National Railway Museum, York

The event is being run as a 'barcamp' or unconference.  That means its an open, participatory workshop-style event. There are no fees, and advance organisation around venue, catering and promotion is done by volunteers.

The format is geared to encouraging conversation as well as presentations. Agendas are set by the participants. We will bring in conversation facilitators, specialists, and local community heroes to listen and speak to, and develop ideas with. There will be an morning session specifically for councillors and members on social media engagement.

If you want to join in - it may sound weird but it works (proven by previous successful London, Birmingham, Lincoln events in the recent past)

G
o to http://www.localgovcamp-yh.co.uk to find out more.  And as great LocalGov Camps have done in the past we will set up a Huddle networking space so we can get pre-unconference chatter and ideas gathering underway.
